With an ever increasing awareness of our impact on the environment, changes in the law on how your business must dispose of its obsolete hardware, it's 'Duty of Care', came into force in August 2005. This is more commonly known as the WEEE directive.
Orange Information Systems Group have always taken their environmental responsibilities seriously and in April 2004, The Environment Agency awarded Orange Information Systems Group with the ‘Certificate of Registration Under The Control of Pollution (Amendment Act 1989)’.
In accordance with the WEEE directive, and under regulation 3 of the controlled waste (Registration of Carriers and Seizure of Vehicles) Regulations 1991, Orange Information Systems Group are now authorised to provide disposal services ensuring your ‘Duty of Care' obligations are fulfilled.
On completion of each disposal consignment, a ‘waste transfer document' will be issued along with an Orange Information Systems Group ‘Certificate of Destruction’ confirmation, giving you proof that your WEEE requirements have been met.
If you, like us, care about the environment please call us if you have any aged equipment to be disposed of and we will be only too pleased to assist.
