OrangeIS seek Graduate or Junior Consultants

OrangeIS Enterprise Solutions is looking for a junior virtualisation consultant to join an existing team of enterprise delivery consultants. The junior consultant will be required to assist with various aspects of the technical delivery of the project.

The successful candidate should be a recent graduate in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an IT professional with equivalent experience

Successful applicants will receive work based training, shadowing our Subject Matter Experts, in addition to attending vendor training and achieving industry recognised certifications.

The role is focused on virtualisation solutions; however an understanding of broader IT infrastructure technologies is also required. You will have worked with Microsoft Active Directory / Exchange and SQL, and must also have a good grasp of the virtualisation arena, including VMware vSphere, Citrix XenServer and Microsoft Hyper-V

Role/Principal Accountabilities:

• Day-to-day duties will range from assisting in technical pre-sales activities, through to assisting with customer onsite installations and implementations.
• Capability to support virtualisation platforms for small and large scale Virtualisation projects (3 to 100 ESX host servers
• Significant client site attendance during project fulfilment activities.
• Qualify hardware and assist with deployment platforms.
• Analyse business requests and work with Senior Consultants to advise on solutions to meet client requirements.
• Develop and maintain technical design documentation.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Experience of VMware ESX / vSphere, vCenter HA, DRS and VMFS
• Experience of TCP/IP Networking, configurations and protocols.
• Experience with Windows Server domain management, including DNS and Exchange
• Plenty of initiative and ability to work in high change environments
• Excellent written and verbal communication (to technical and business)
• Strong team and collaboration skills


Desirable:

• Other virtualisation platforms such as Xen, Hyper-V.
• Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop.
• Technical knowledge and appreciation of a wide range of Windows/Storage/Networking technologies is desirable.
• Experience with network routing, load balancers, configurations and protocols on Cisco Routers and Switches
• Microsoft Exchange
• Knowledge of desktop virtualisation solutions.

You will be commutable on a daily basis to the City office and able to travel to the Coleshill (Birmingham) office and client sites as and when required.
