OrangeIS Group enjoys great success at Storage Expo 2009.

Building on the launch of OrangeIS Enterprise Solutions, key technology partner FalconStor invited OrangeIS Group to join them at Storage Expo at London Olympia.

As recognised experts in the FalconStor flagship products - Network Storage Server (NSS) and Continuous Data Protector (CDP), OrangeIS Enterprise Solutions were keen to maximise their potential, and attend.

The event was unique this year, as for the first time there was a "Channel Zone" where resellers could meet end users during the event, in designated meeting rooms. With many organisations visiting the stand, and utilising the "Channel Zone" to discuss system resilience and backup solutions with OrangeIS Group, It was a fantastic event.

Orange Information Systems Group is looking for a Solutions Architect to lead the architecture and design of medium and large scale virtualisation projects, and owning the delivery of implementation by the consultancy team.

The role is focused on Vmware solutions, and a solid understanding of the broader virtualisation landscape and vendor products such as Platespin, Microsoft Hyper-V and Citrix XenServer is also required.

OrangeIS were approached by one of the UK’s leading waste management companies to resolve their day-to-day IT support issues.

Envirosol’s growth over the last 2 years has been significant within the waste management industry. As with most growing businesses, their IT was struggling to keep pace with their rapid growth.

OrangeIS & NetApp Celebrate "Storage Cafe Workshop" Success!

Having recently gained our NetApp Gold Partner accreditation, OrangeIS hosted the first of their "storage cafe workshop" seminars at an exclusive event in London.

Anthony Bright gave an introductory overview of OrangeIS and Matt Watts from NetApp then guided us through their technologies. The workshop focused on the challenges faced by IT Managers with today's ever increasing storage demands and how NetApp's product efficiency can be implemented to fulfil this cost effectively.

Anthony Bright said " Large seminars are attractive if you are appealing to the masses, but as a customer led business we wanted to understand their storage challenges on a more personal level. By hosting these smaller more intimate workshops, both OrangeIS and our clients will gain a far better understanding of those challenges and the technologies available to resolve them. The feedback has been extremely positive, and will ensure we will continue to run them on a regular basis".

The seminar was then followed by a superb three course lunch, and an afternoon of test match cricket in the company of cricket legends Ronnie Irani and Graham Thorpe.

OrangeIS 'RIB Experience' takes the Thames by storm!

With not a cloud in the sky and the sun glistening off the warm waters of the Thames, accompanied by the gentle sound of birdsong, it seemed nothing could interrupt a perfect day on the river. That was until OrangeIS took to the water in high powered RIB boats!!!

To celebrate our continued growth and success, Thursday 25th June saw the 1st OrangeIS Client 'RIB Experience'. Having chartered high powered Rigid Inflatable Boats, OrangeIS and some of our valued clients went blasting up the river at high speed. We took in all the sights of London en-route from the 02 to Parliament - albeit a little quickly.

OrangeIS would like to thank those clients who risked life and limb climbing into the boat from the Butlers Wharf pontoon at low tide to attend. With everyone having a brilliant time, we guarantee an action replay in the very near future!

Co founder of Profile Computers PLC, he helped build the organization until selling his holding in 1991. Then starting Panacea Services in 1992, he took the business into the 'The Times Top 100 Fastest Growing Companies' for 3 consecutive years during their first 5 years. After successfully selling the business in 2005 to his co-founder, Anthony has worked on a number of different projects covering a broad spectrum of commerce.

Virtual Desktop Deployment with VMware

Given the success of virtualisation and the growing challenge to manage desktops, companies are beginning to look for ways to get similar benefits by applying the same technology to the desktop environment.

VMware VDI is an integrated desktop virtualisation solution that delivers enterprise-class control and manageability with a recognisable user experience.

We were approached by a client, one of the UK's leading law firms, with a requirement to streamline the deployment and management of desktops.

By implementing a suite of products from VMware, OrangeIS have been able to not only reduce the number of live environment servers by 50%, but also provide a controllable, centralised hosted desktop environment for the client's 1500 users. Benefits such as quick provisioning of desktops and easier deployment of new applications only reinforce the value of this implementation.
